From art galleries to an incredible independent book seller, to outdoor gear and sporting goods, to handmade jewelry and artisan crafts, Orcas Island has you covered. Stroll through Eastsound Village and shop to your heart's content, then venture out further afield to commune with the forest, watch the water, burn off some beer calories and sample island life at its finest.

Look for the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce table under the big tent or stop by the Visitor Information Center in town for more recommendations!

You're going to need coffee. Olga Rising is located on an old island homestead in a small orchard garden in the center of Eastsound Village. It's what we islanders call "old island style" and it can't be mistaken. Sit in the garden or on the patio by the heaters and get a feel for what "island time" is like.

Orcas Island Pottery is the oldest studio pottery in the Pacific Northwest, and creates and sells some of the most original and beautiful pottery.

We've been told one cannot live by beer alone and tempting though it may be to try, why not spice things up with a visit to one of the most beautiful spots on the island while sampling some truly amazing wine? A picnic is always a good idea.

Material Wit is a jewelry studio and lifestyle shop offering sustainable well-made items from independent brands and featuring inspiring work from local artists.

The Orcas Island Artworks Gallery is a cooperatively-run gallery housed in a historic building on the island's East side. Built in 1938 as a strawberry barreling plant, the lovingly restored landmark now showcases the best of the island's crafts and fine art.

Learn about life on Orcas Island throughout history and the incredible story of the 14,000 year old Bison Antiquus discovered on the island.

BEFORE YOU GO

If you're traveling to and from the island by ferry, be sure to plan some time in Orcas Village at the ferry landing. You'll find some amazing food and drink for your journey, as well as island 

Celebrating 120 years of operation this year, the Orcas hotel is an iconic landmark in the San Juan Islands. Enjoy an excellent cup of coffee, breakfast sandwich, or lunch with an incredible view from the hill above the ferry landing.

New to Orcas Village, the Boardwalk Collective features offerings from several well-loved island vendors and proprietors, including artisan bath and body care products, curated home goods, and energy readings by the Salish Sea.

Another recent addition to Orcas Village specializing in local, seasonal dishes with international flavors, from fresh fruit smoothies to vegan/vegetarian/meat wraps, soups, salads, and breakfast items. All enjoyed with a captivating view, whether you choose indoor or outdoor seating.
